Czechia out to defend Bronze League title

Czechia are getting ready to to claim their third back-to-back Sitting Volleyball Men’s European Bronze Nations League title when they take to the court at the historic Normandy city of Caen in France this coming weekend.

The five-team tournament is the third edition of the Bronze League and for the the first time this year features an actual final that follows the round-robin pool play.

But Czechia, who won both previous editions in Lyon, in 2011 and 2012, will have fend off the challenges of Estonia, rookies Georgia and the Netherlands and hosts France – who are the only other side to have featured on the podiums of both previous editions.

Competition begins Friday morning with pool play concluding on Saturday evening and the medals matches scheduled for Sunday morning.

The event wraps up a truly exciting and action-packed year for European sitting volleyball, which included the 2023 European Championships in Caorle, Italy.
