ParaVolley EUROPE Sitting & Standing Volleyball in Europe
The New Nations Tournament will kick off in three weeks in Prague (CZE) and will welcome 6 teams from new Sitting Volleyball Nations (FRA, NOR, HUN, LTU and CZE).
This tournament is hosted by the Sport Club Kometa Praha which was founded 17 years ago in 1999 as Tennis and Volleyball club.
It is now a big Volleyball club and has
over 300 volleyball members across all age categories. More than 20 coaches look after 15 volleyball teams, which take part in official National and Regional competitions. The club also has the official status of Youth training center.

The club also has the official status of Youth training center.The sitting volleyball section started 2 years ago when a young coach who was studying sport for disabled people at university had the idea to introduce the sport to several disabled athletes. They started playing sitting volleyball together with able-bodied players.
The team has now a total of 12 players, 7 of whom are disabled. Since this is the only sitting volleyball team in the Czech republic, the club has decided to organise a tournament in order to get an idea of the level of the team. This has resulted in the organisation of the 2016 New Nations tournament.Tournament data
