ParaVolley EUROPE Sitting & Standing Volleyball in Europe
The province of Sassari (Sardinia) through the “COMITATO PROVINCIALE DI SASSARI” lead by the great effort of its President Mrs. Ivana Cicu, together with the volleyball association “LA PALLAVOLO OLBIA”, is organising a weekend dedicated to #SittingVolleyball by inviting the Italian and Poland National Teams.
All the money eventually collected will be donated to the association “Pro Fabrizio” – Fabrizio is a boy suffering of a rare disease and during a recent weather/climatic event lost his house together with all equipment necessary to cure his disease.
All the events will be free of charge.
Miss GIUSY PIREDDA from Sardinia is the “deus ex machina” of the whole event. Without her commitment it could have been impossible to achieve this!
The programme will be as follow:
Saturday 27/02: Italian National Team and Poland National Team will arrive in the morning
In the afternoon there will be a joint training session between the two NTs.
Sunday 28/02: In the morning there will be another joint training session between the two National Teams.
In the afternoon a “1 set only” triangular sitting volleyball tournament between: ITALY – POLAND – and the local team of standing Volleyball “MERIDIANA OLBIA” playing in Serie B2 (whofor the occasion will sit on the floor with the other teams!).
After the tournament there will be a friendly match between Italy and Poland National Teams.
