With great pleasure we welcome you to Leverkusen for the Champions Cup Men – an international tournament featuring the best sitting volleyball teams in Europe. This year’s tournament holds special significance, as it marks the return of the prestigious European Champions Cup to the legendary Haberland Hall, 25 years after its debut in this very venue.

The Leverkusen team is proud to host this high-level competition and looks back on a rich history of success in the European Cup. In the very first edition of the newly formed Champions Cup in Italy, our team fought its way to an impressive second place. In the previous format, the old European Cup, the team even managed to win the trophy three times.

Remarkably, three players from that era – Renger, Soicke and Schrapp – are still part of the team today, bringing valuable experience and passion to the court. This year, the goal is clear: to reach the final and challenge the strong favorites from Bosnia.

A special thanks goes to our dedicated organizing team – Quade, Frischmann, Mimberg, and Lügger – who, together with the many volunteers from the Para Sports Department, made this tournament possible.

We are delighted to welcome the Champions Cup to Leverkusen. It is a tremendous honour for the Bayer Sports Family to host this prestigious international sitting volleyball tournament. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to ParaVolley Europe for entrusting us with the opportunity to organise this remarkable event.

Sitting volleyball exemplifies the spirit of inclusive sports, and we are especially thankful for the invaluable support from our volleyball department. Their dedicated volunteers and supporters have played a crucial role in making this event possible.

This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate 75 years of Para Sport at TSV Leverkusen - a proud chapter in our club’s history. Leverkusen has established itself as a key hub for sitting volleyball in Germany and will continue to serve as the federal training center leading up to the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.

We are particularly excited to witness the emergence of young talent, with 15-year-old Karl Kruber already on the path to joining the national team.
