5th place match: WZSN Start Wroclaw - OSUI Laktasi 1:3 (19:25, 22:25, 25:11, 14:25)

The 5th place game opened the final day of the Champions Cup in Porec. Laktasi had a solid opening taking a 7-3 lead with Aleksandar Ljubicic on serve. Wroclaw fought hard to come back from behind with some good plays from Piotr Sicinski and Karol Szewczyk, but Laktasi dominated on the net with Jovan Mijatovic and Nenad Racic, taking the set 25-19. They kept the momentum quickly jumping to 9-3 lead in the next set, improving it further to 16-9 with Racic on the serve line, despite Wroclaw's efforts, Laktasi closed the set 25-22. The third part was Wroclaw's show - with their serve runs from Piotr Sicinski, Radoslaw Dubienski and Karol Szewczyn they put a lot of pressure on Laktasi, which resulted in an 18-7 lead. Tomasz Grell delivered a great performance in block and with one more block stuff, he closed the set 25-11. The upset from the previous set irritated Laktasi, who returned to the court with new energy and immediately took 8-1 with Milenko Jerinic serving. Laktasi dominated in all components, sealing the deal with triple block by Milenko Jerinic, Nenad Racic and Jovan Mijatovic.

Bronze medal match: IOK Zagreb - Nola Citta dei Gigli 3:1 (27:25, 19:25, 25:9, 26:24)

Both Zagreb and Nola were hunting their first medal in this competition, they competed in two previous editions, however in Porec they had a chance for a new milestone in their clubs' history. With Ivan Cosic on the serve, the hosts had an impressive run from 3-4 to taking a 12-4 lead. It looked that they would quickly finish the opener, but the Croats got in trouble from 18-10. Nola showed their character on the court again, with great team efforts, powerful spikes from Robert Kertesz and Fabio Marsilani along with the service run from Vitorrio Pasciari they levelled up the score at 19-19, shocking Zagreb. Nola had even a setball, but Zagreb denied it, turning the opener in their favour after Nenad Ilibasic's attack at 27-25. But it didn't discourage players from Nola, who presented a high level game and with Sergio Ignoto jumped to 13-9 lead, the hosts tried to reduce the gap, but Kertesz's attack closed the set 25-19. It was a cold shower for Zagreb. They improved in all skills, outclassing the rivals in the third set 25-9. The fourth set was again a competitive one. Zagreb got some more significant advantage at 11-7, but Nola were determined to fight until the end, reducing the gap to 13-11, but with Edvin Zdionica on serve took control over the game again going to 19-13. But the game was not over yet with Kertesz on the serve and a lot of effort put in every point, Nola not only tied, but also took a 20-19 lead. They had two setball from 24-22, but Zagreb managed to stop them and with the captain Nenad Ilibasic they prevailed 26-24 after Kertesz spiking too long. Thus, the hosts earned their historic bronze - their first medal in the current format of the Champions Cup.

Gold medal match: Spid Sarajevo vs Fantomi Sarajvo (22:25, 25:22, 18:25, 18:25)

The battle between reigning back-to-back champions Fantomi Sarajevo against their domestic rivals and the 2023 Euroleague winners Spid Sarajevo -who reached the final unbeaten - electrified the sitting volleyball falls. With Almedin Selfic on the serve, Spid took a 10-5 lead. Dzevad Hamzic and Edin Rizvanovic worked really well in the block, once the entire team didn't spare any efforts in defense (16-10). Fantomi tried hard, but they made many own mistakes, missing some patience. It changed from 22-16, Safet Alibasic on serve along with his teammates delivered an unbelievable run - winning 9 points in a row to end the set 25-22 after situational attack from Israd Mahmutovic. The next set started also with a fierce battle. Fantomi continued their solid game, going to 10-6 lead. But Spid didn't give up - with impressive streaks with Nizam Cancar and Armin Sehic they not only equalled the score, but also took 15-12 lead, keeping the distance safe (20-16). It was not an easy job, as Fantomi put all in, but eventually Spid closed the set 25-22 after a blow-minding rally closed with block from Hamzic and Sejfic. The third set was a tight point-by-point race, but from 17-17 Fantomi took five consecutive points (22-17) with Belmin Gracic on serving duty. Spid struggling in receptions committed more mistakes, Sehic spiking in out ended the set in favour of Spid. Fantomi stayed focused and enjoyed a perfect opening of the fourth set (9-2). Although Spid tried to come back, plays from Safet Alibasic and Belmin Gracic kept Fantomi on solid lead. The defending champions had a series of match points from 24-14, even if Spid denied four of them, it was Fanotmi to celebrate their next title. Safet Alibasic were recognized with MVP award.
