Warming up for the Ultimate Sitting Volleyball party of the weekend - Silver Nations League Women and Bronze Nations League Men (4-6 October, Prague, Czechia), the Sitting Volleyball fans in the Czech capital already had the chance to enjoy some action on the court.

Hosts Czechia and Estonia delivered an intriguing friendly game on Thursday afternoon, won by the Estonian team 2-1 (24-26, 25-21, 25-12).

The friendly game took place less than 24 hours before the actual kick-off of the two tournaments.

On the men’s side of the tournament, Czechia, Estonia, France, Georgia and Great Britain will battle it out for the trophy and a spot in the 2025 Silver Nations League Men competition, while ladies from Croatia, Czechia, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands are ready to deliver their best game, lining up for honours in the women’s tournament.

Later on Thursday evening, the Technical Meeting of the two tournaments took place. ITOs, Level 3 Referee Candidates and teams were warmly welcomed by PVE Representative Isabelle Collot.

Nello Calleja (Technical Delegate) and Victoria Georgieva (Media Delegate) gave more details on the running of the competition, while WPV Course Instructors Glynn Archibald and Toomas Murulo welcomed once again 11 L3 Referee candidates from the four WPV zones.

“Thanks go to PVE for providing the opportunity to organise another referee course, we are creating and developing together,” Archibald mentioned.

The two tournaments start on Friday morning.
