They qualified for the Big Finale at the Men’s Sitting Volleyball Tournament at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, and are now waiting to see who their rival will be at the Final game, scheduled for September 6 at 19:30 CEST, while Germany will fight for the Bronze earlier that day at 15:00 CEST. The opponents of the two European teams will be determined after the end of the second semifinal between Iran and Egypt.

On Thursday, the players coached by head coach Ifet Mahmutovic outplayed their strong opponents of Germany at 3-0. In a semifinal, that turned out to be a rematch of the 2023 #EuroSittingVolley final (won by Bosnia 3-2), the Bosnian players proved better after 25-23, 25-6, 31-29, with the third set delivering great spectacle to the fans attending in North Paris Arena. Bosnia saved a set point, turning the tables for the final outcome.

Statistically, the players of Mahmutovic showed better performance on the different Sitting Volleyball counts: 40 to 35 winning spikes, 12 to three kill blocks, seven to five aces. They also recorded more on their opponents’ errors: 22 to 15.

Mirzet Duran was unstoppable, finishing as top scorer and 17 points to his name. Ermin Jusufovic added 10.

For Germany, Heiko Wiesenthal and Francis Tonfleu both added 10 points each.
